Without a Prescription

Sporal is prescribed for the treatment of fungal infections in both HIV- and non-HIV-infected individuals.
Sporal is prescribed for treating patients with fever and low white blood cell counts who are likely to develop a fungal infection.
Sporal is active against fungal infections such as aspergillosis, blastomycosis, histoplasmosis, and candidiasis, as well as fungal infection localized to the toenails and fingernails (onychomycosis).

Sporal is prescribed to patients who are suffering from fungal infections that affect:
- The skin and / or the nails;
- The lungs;
- The central nervous system;

The oral solution of Sporal is prescribed to treat:
- Throat;
- Mouth yeast infections;
- Esophagus;

Overdose

Sporal overdose's most common symptoms include:
- Abdominal pain;
- Diarrhea;
- Dizziness;
- Headache;
- Nausea;
- Ringing in the ears;
- Vomiting;

Side Effects

Sporal side effects that you should report to your health care professional or doctor as soon as possible:
- Abdominal pain and inability to sleep unless sitting upright;
- Congestive heart failure;
- Dark urine or pale stool;
- Diarrhea;
- Dizziness;
- Edema (fluid retention);
- Edema;
- Fatigue;
- Fatigue;
- Hepatitis;
- High blood pressure (hypertension);
- Increased blood triglycerides;
- Nausea and/or vomiting;
- Nausea;
- Nausea;
- Poor appetite;
- Rash;
- Shortness of breath;
- Unusual fatigue;
- Vomiting;
- Yellowing of the eyes (jaundice);

Stop your treatment with Sporal as soon as possible if you develop any of these dangerous side effects :
- Abdominal pain;
- Abnormal fatigue;
- Breath shortness;
- Closing of the throat;
- Dark urine;
- Difficulty breathing;
- Hives;
- Numbness;
- Pain;
- Pale stools;
- Swelling of the tongue lips or face;
- Swelling or chest pain;
- Tingling;
- Yellow eyes or skin;

You may continue using Sporal, but you should alert your personal health care provider if you develop any of these less severe side effects :
- Diarrhea;
- Dizziness;
- Fatigue;
- Headache;
- Itching;
- Nausea;
- Rash;
- Vomiting;

Interactions

Do not take Sporal with any of the following drugs:
- "statins";
- Carbamazepine (Tegretol);
- Cimetidine (Tagamet);
- Cisapride (no longer available in the US);
- Clarithromycin (Biaxin);
- Diabeta;
- Dofetilide (Tikosyn);
- Erythromycin;
- Fortovase;
